Text Box: FREEHOLD, NJ - - A pair of $8,000 divisions of round two of the Swing Back series for three-year-old pacing fillies head up the action at Freehold Raceway on Thursday.  In the first division, Steve Jones’ Love The Game will open on the board as the 6-5 favorite in the morning line. The daughter of The Panderosa suffered back luck in the opening round of the series when she got badly shuffled back behind a tiring pacesetter and finished out of the money. All told, Love The Game sports a 5-2-0 across the board record this year and has earned $37,650 in purses, the most of any entrant in the field.

Sistermarymargaret, Alexa Hall, Pure Instinct and Game Table complete the field for the first division. At 6-5, the heavy favorite in division two is Loman, Fox and Taylor’s Hypnotize. In last week’s opening leg of the Swing Back, the Artiscape filly closed as the 3-10 favorite and registered an easy, 1:56.3 win. A repeat of that superb effort could be all that is needed for Hypnotize to score another victory.

Text Box: FREEHOLD, NJ - - Joseph McDonough, from Farmingdale, NY, beat out 81 fellow handicappers and captured the $8,200 Freehold Raceway thoroughbred handicapping challenge at the raceway on Friday.
McDonough got his bankText Box: roll up to $682 and took down the first prize of $4,100. Joe Marzocca of Butler, NJ banked $571 and earned $2,050 for second. Maple Shade, NJ's John Curran finished third with a $557 bankroll and won $984 in prize money. Rounding out the top five Text Box: were Joshua Kamis of East Brunswick, NJ ($461 bankroll, $656 prize money) and Long Branch, NJ native Michelle Sweeney ($458 bank, $410 prize).
